I bought a copy at the author's stall at the Zoco market. It's a comprehensive book which will be great to leave in our property for the benefit of anyone who comes but does not know the area. It is not a marketing exercise - not an advert to be seen, it really is an easy to follow genuine guide to the area. A great deal of research has gone into the detailed preparation of the information.There is a section to input some details relating to your property , making it a comprehensive source of information for you and your visitors.
At 12.5 euros it is a bit on the expensive side (I would say that as a Yorkshireman wouldn't I) and at that price you would not want it to be walking off in a guest's luggage when they leave. I attempted to produce something like this for guests when we first bought our property in 2004; it took me ages and was limited to my little detailed knowledge of the area. In my view, this book does it for you in a very full, competent and professional manner.

Just got back to the UK and had a fab day out with the Hayes Guide. We went to the Mud Baths at San Pedro and had a blast. All the family got caked in mud, we have some excellent photos which the children will use for their 'what we did during our school holidays' project. Driving directions and map were spot on, so there was none of the usual arguing about the right way to go!! Throughly recommend the Guide to all.

We own an apartment in Algorfa and try and get over as much as possible (when work allows) to “our place in the sun”. We are out again in October and look forward to using your guide book and have already planned a few visits to places noted in the book (the shoe factory is a must for me). From reading the book, the directions seem very detail which is fantastic – I just wish we had it in July when it took us 30 minutes to find the mud baths at Lo Pagan!

We have two copies of the hayes guide book. One we or our guests use whilst in sunny Spain. The other sits next to my side of the bed in the regularly rainy red rose county of Lancashire. When I feel gloomy I pick it up & plan days to cheer me up! Then I feel less glum -with a little touch of Spanish sun 1100 miles away in Blackburn.

We have 'done' the Santiago de la Ribera trip twice now and apart from having problems in parking, time of year being summer, brilliant to get across and swim on the far side of the strip. Lots of places to eat both sides of the ferry. We found the time of the trip depended on the boat used, longest 30 minutes, quickest (last night after long delay in leaving) just over 10 minutes!
